On a recent trip to Denver, I hiked Rocky Mountain National Park with two of my long-time lady friends. While hiking, I learned that skiiers and snowboarders call a  perfectly cloudless day with good snow a "bluebird". It's a day that they look forward to and I thought this fact was hilarious. That said, I'll admit, when we got up into the higher altitude and saw the crisp outline of snow and mountains against clear blue sky, I got it. It's beautiful the way everything comes into focus. This series is for the crazy gorgeous Rockies and to my ladies who made the overnight journey with me. You're the best.
