My brother, who lives a few neighborhoods away from me, cut some big old yew trees down in his yard and gifted me cookies from its' trunk. Turning them into little wall hangings seemed the right thing to do.
The story behind the title of this one is a bit of a joke amongst friends, but it's a cute story.
On a trip to New Orleans, a few years back, we booked an eco-bayou tour. Our tour guide was named Andrew and he looked like a bayou verson of Ryan Gosling. We hopped on his flat-bottom boat and cruised off into the tall grass. After a pause in coversation Andrew said something like, "I had a little girl, like 6 years old, on a tour recently. She said the funniest thing. She said, "Andrew, did you know....that stars don't have points? Stars are round!" We've been riffing on that story ever since. Thanks, Andrew. If you're ever in NOLA and wanna see the bayou or tour an old plantation in a respectful way, check out Beyond the Bayou Tours. They're great.
