The sunrise on Easter morning was super moody, all grey-purple clouds with the sun battling to creep in along the horizon. I'll be honest, these are my preferred skies to paint.
There was a large pod of dolphins fishing just offshore while a circle of blanket-wrapped folks sang worship hymns that rose above the sound of waves and gulls. Then there was me, sitting quietly on my puffy blanket, with chilly fingers and cold weather sniffles, trying to push paint around paper.
