While in my basement studio, I was moving a piece here and another there. My mind drifted towards thougts of the monotony of our political system. How every time we see a chance for change, real change, some other horrible thing takes its place. I thought about how so many of our fellow Americans cannot see beyond themselves and their fear. It's a slow, frustrating ladder we're climbing - one that I always hope has a sun rising at the top of it but one that I often fear will only continue until we drive this world and each other into extinction. This wall hanging is a representation of that feeling.

Reclaimed wood from acoustic guitar making and a mulberry branch collected from our community garden.
