This is an old piece of base board that I'm pretty sure my mom gifted me. I really needed a break from making and compromised with this small work on wood. The thistles are based on a photo Seth sent me while we were both in Weston, WV. He's starting to really see plants after 16 years of hanging out with me and it warms my weird, wild heart. The patterns are a variation on north star and original pattern work.

Gouache & ink on reclaimed solid wood base board (ready to hang) 12"x 6"

Note: the wood stain bled into the paint when I sealed this piece so it's a bit discounted. It's still cool though. :)
